ABOUT
The gallery develops the careers of a select group of living artists who exhibit a meticulous approach to their individual crafts, a critical approach to making art, and a commitment to the gallery and to their own practice. Kristen Lorello aims to provide her collectors with a professional and respectful business experience and the opportunity to own truly unique contemporary artworks. Our exhibitions rotate every month and are free and open to the public.
Kristen Lorello opened the gallery in 2014 at 195 Chrystie Street in Manhattan and moved the gallery to its current East 73rd Street location in September 2020. Prior to launching her own space, Kristen developed her career at Greenberg Van Doren Gallery from 2005-2012, where she held various roles, including Director of Operations, Associate Director, and Archivist. She also helped start GVD’s subsidiary gallery Eleven Rivington during its inaugural year. Kristen graduated from Barnard College summa cum laude, phi beta kappa in 2004. She was a Fulbright Fellow to Italy in 2006 and holds an MA in the History of Art from Hunter College.
